About The Position

This role involves taking and serving guest orders promptly and according to the service manual, performing necessary set-up and side work, answering guest questions about the menu, and operating the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system. The server will also check food before serving to ensure appearance, temperature, and portions are correct, and perform other job-related duties as assigned. In the first few months, new hires will become familiar with the hotel and its food and beverage menu, then work within the team to apply their expertise in food and beverage service, ultimately becoming a key contributor to the team's success.

Requirements

Ability to work PM shifts including weekends and holidays.
Safe food handling and Smart Serve certificates required.
Ability to communicate in English.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
General knowledge of food and food preparation techniques.

Responsibilities
