Walk In Hiring Event-FT and PT Servers-Assisted Living
About The Position
The Server provides residents and guests with a quality dining experience and delivers Platinum Service® with each interaction. The role involves serving meals and beverages, taking orders, attending to resident and guest needs, preparing dining areas and trays, and maintaining sanitary and clean dining spaces. Servers may also prepare and deliver snacks for community events and provide support to other dining rooms as needed. The position has full-time and part-time openings with varying shifts and schedules at Riverstone of Mankato, a community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
Requirements
- Meet all applicable state and federal requirements for the position.
- Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
- Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel, and the public.
- Be capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.
- Be able to frequently lift or carry 30 pounds and occasionally lift or carry 50 pounds.
- Be able to frequently push or pull up to 30 pounds and occasionally push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching at or below the shoulder, and frequent standing or walking.

- Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, following established portion-control procedures.
- Distribute and collect menus as needed; take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer menu questions.
- Follow sanitary regulations and provide Platinum Service with each dining experience.
- Set up meal trays and food carts, prepare dining rooms with utensils and condiments, and clean common areas before and after meals.
- Assist in checking resident trays before distribution.
- Pour hot and cold beverages and assist residents with opening containers and condiments as needed.
- Pay attention to resident and guest needs during the dining experience.
- Prepare and deliver snacks for community events and parties.
- Bus tables during and after meals.
- Support other dining rooms during events and activities as needed.
- Clean the dining room according to schedules and assignments.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
