About The Position

The Server will provide prompt, efficient, courteous service to all guests. Service includes greeting, seating, taking and serving orders, clearing dishes, and resetting tables. This role involves developing and maintaining professional working relationships, executing customer service guidelines, communicating orders accurately, handling guest complaints, memorizing menu knowledge, and complying with operational procedures for guest checks and cash control. The Server will also be responsible for stocking supplies, adhering to safety regulations, maintaining a waiting list, performing cleaning duties, and upholding uniform standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all guests.
• Greet, seat, take and serve orders, clear dishes, and reset tables.
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with team members and guests.
• Execute customer service guidelines per IHOP SOP.
• Communicate guest food orders and service requests accurately and timely.
• Handle guest complaints in a timely manner.
• Inquire about dining experience, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and menu knowledge.
• Comply with SOP methods regarding guest checks and cash control.
• Stock and rotate needed supplies in service areas and dining room.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, IHOP Safety Manual, and SOP.
• Maintain a waiting list as necessary.
• Perform all cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables, and clean chairs, booths, and floors after guests leave.
• Comply with IHOP and Onvo uniform and appearance standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Works effectively with others in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner.
• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness.
• Performs cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts.
• Performs all duties in a safe and responsible manner to assure workers, guests, suppliers/contractors, and the environment are not at risk.
• Complies with all company safety policies, procedures, and instructions.
