About The Position

Barrel House is seeking a server to join their team. The server is the main guest service and sales representative of the establishment, focusing on providing guests with a memorable and positive experience. This role is part of the Front of House team and reports to the Front of House Manager.

Requirements

High school or equivalent preferred
Point of Sale System experience preferred
1 to 5 years previous server experience
Be able to exert fast-paced mobility for long periods of time
Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Greets guests, thanks them upon leaving, and builds rapport by asking questions and initiating conversation.
Responsible for hosting and bussing as needed.
Utilizes the Barrel House Steps of Service when serving guests.
Possesses extensive menu knowledge, including the ability to describe all food, drink, and special menu items.
Relays all orders to the bar and the kitchen via the POS tablet.
Continuously interacts with the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of all food items.
Sets up and maintains a section throughout the shift.
Multitasks and remains aware of several tables' progression through the dining experience.
Handles cash, closes out table checks in an orderly and timely fashion, and provides accurate change with a sincere thank you and invitation to return.
Checks for guest satisfaction and makes any necessary adjustments.
Follows up on each order to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Pre-buses tables.
Runs food to guest tables.
Brings condiments and other necessary items for orders.
Prints checks, brings carry-out containers if needed, presents checks, and asks if additional service is required.
Performs side duties as assigned.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of the menu and facility operations.
Delivers professional, courteous, and efficient service to guests.
Practices teamwork by helping co-workers.
Trains and guides other servers as requested by the manager.
Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
