About The Position

PGA Golf Properties Inc. is seeking part-time Server Assistants to maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing dining room. This role involves attending to the dining room, banquet areas, and clubhouse patrons professionally and positively, representing the PGA of America with the utmost professionalism. Requirements

  • Less than high school education; and up to one-month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Ability to use an iPad with the POS system when hosting to seat guests with dinner reservations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple sentences.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Works harmoniously with others to get a job done, responds positively to instructions and procedures, and is able to work well with staff while maintaining relationships, which breed productive disagreement and debate.
  • Meets the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services.

  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate
  • Restaurant Compliance Solutions (RCS) certification

Responsibilities

  • Assist the à la carte service staff and banquet events throughout the dining experience.
  • Provide quality customer service, anticipate guests' needs throughout the dining experience, and ensure that guests are never left unattended.
  • Assist Servers in areas such as running food, pre-bussing, water service, table maintenance, and coffee service.
  • Throughout the dining experience, anticipate guests' needs and ensure they are promptly attended to.
  • Set up, break down, clear, and clean dining room tables and chairs, along with maintaining a clean dining environment.
  • Remove dirty dishes and glassware from the dining room as needed and take them to the designated kitchen/dish pit.
  • Reset and restock any and all tables & service areas according to standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Keep side stations filled and ensure all small wares and condiments are restocked and silverware is polished and rolled.
  • Seating guests and running food as needed according to seating charts.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and be responsible for all pertinent daily information.
  • Follow a checklist as a guideline for completing daily tasks.
  • Ensure that all new guests receive immediate attention by greeting, seating, and offering water.
  • Be knowledgeable of all menus and specials, as well as seating charts and venues.
