Come and redefine what it means to reinvigorate. Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Server Assistant to join our dedicated and dynamic Onyx team! This position assists the Server in providing an enjoyable dining experience to our guests while conforming to the restaurant’s standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. The position clears tables and resets them neatly, rapidly and completely according to specification while attending to guest needs and requests.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • One year previous experience in a luxury Food and Beverage outlet.
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • The ability to have strong communication skills between co-workers and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen and safely transporting and delivering it to guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
  • Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner.
  • Stock linen, china, silver and glassware for service ensuring that all are polished and in good condition; assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages.
  • Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.
  • Preparation of condiment and garnish items.
