Server Assistant (Food Runner/Busser)
About The Position
Grasslands Club is seeking Server Assistants to join our Fine Dining and Sports Bar Food & Beverage team. This role is designed to be a launching pad, not just a job, serving as a hands-on apprenticeship where you'll work directly alongside servers, learning the flow of fine dining service, member preferences, and the standards that make the dining experience exceptional. Many current servers started as Server Assistants, and the club is built to help employees do the same. This is an opportunity for attentive, hardworking individuals ready to learn the craft of hospitality from the ground up.
Requirements
- A positive attitude and a strong sense of urgency.
- Genuine interest in growing into a server or front-of-house hospitality role.
- Ability to work well in a team-focused environment.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and take feedback well.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clear, clean, and reset tables with the polish members expect.
- Refill water and beverages.
- Assist with guest needs as directed.
- Run and deliver food.
- Keep dining areas and service stations organized.
- Communicate closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
