The Server Assistant role provides efficient assistance to the server during meal periods, including bussing tables, re-setting them, and running food. This position requires adherence to the company's Service culture and participation in all hotel required meetings and trainings. Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag, is essential. The role involves maximizing productivity, identifying and assisting in solving problem areas, and performing pre-shift side work as directed. Key duties include delivering food from the kitchen to guest tables, checking and restocking supplies in serving areas, and maintaining full knowledge of table numbers, seating positions, menu items, and ingredients. The Server Assistant is also responsible for checking and controlling food item inventory, stocking food and dry goods according to standards, familiarizing themselves with specials, unloading trays in the dish machine area, and keeping tables and service stations clean, neat, and supplied. They will assist servers with various tasks to ensure guest satisfaction, complete assigned side work, remove dirty plates, and re-set tables. Additionally, the role involves setting up the bus station, serving water, bread, and butter to guests, and abiding by all hotel policies and safety rules. Other duties may be requested by management.
