About The Position

The Senior Server Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise server environments. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of server infrastructure that supports mission-critical applications, databases, and network services. The Senior Server Administrator works closely with network administrators, security personnel, database administrators, and application specialists to maintain stable IT operations and support infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing enterprise server environments.
Experience supporting mission-critical production systems in large organizations or government environments.
Windows Server administration
Server virtualization and infrastructure management
Active Directory and identity services
System monitoring and performance optimization
Backup and disaster recovery management
Server security and patch management

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
Administer and support Windows Server environments and related enterprise services.
Manage and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Monitor server performance, availability, and system health to ensure optimal operations.
Implement and maintain server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Perform server patch management, updates, and system hardening.
Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, system failures, and performance problems.
Support Active Directory services, group policies, and identity management systems.
Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure infrastructure security and compliance.
Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.
Assist with server upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
