Job Summary Run the operations of the separators within specified guidelines to deliver a quality output.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate or ability to learn how to operate the separators and clarifiers
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
  • Must be well organized
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer experience helpful
  • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
  • Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
  • Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
  • Ability to read and write instructions in English
  • Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
  • Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required

Responsibilities

  • Effectively perform in this key role and maintain quality and throughput standards
  • Maintain records and paperwork accurately
  • Take samples in a timely manner
  • Communicate regularly with shift supervisor and lead person
  • Ensure whey quality meets specifications
  • Make changes to computers and separators as needed or as instructed
  • Stay current with SOPs as equipment and process change
  • Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
  • Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
  • Safely handle, measure, mix, and dispose of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals used in the Clean-In-Place (CIP) process in accordance with established procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and company safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Regular and timely attendance required
