About The Position

The SEO Strategist will perform basic SEO assistance tasks such as keyword research, platform updates, listings maintenance, and site audits with little supervision. This role involves walking through assigned client deliverables, explaining methodology, results, insights, action items, and next steps, with assistance from a supervisor. The strategist will also manage regular reporting and insight calls, contributing to internal team communication and learning environments.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years SEO experience
  • In-platform experience in SEO softwares such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Brightedge, Conductor, Reputation, Google Ads, SEMrush, ScreamingFrog SEO Spider, Moz, etc.
  • The ability to execute on a plan with minimal supervision, flagging questions and reporting back with updates, working toward a completed product.
  • Proven content and technical SEO skills including site crawls and audits, schema markup, keyword research, competitive analysis, keyword gap analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity with local SEO services and software platforms such as GBP (formerly GMB), MozLocal, Yext, Reputation, BrightLocal, etc.

  • Walk through assigned client deliverables, explaining methodology, results, insights, action items, and next steps, with assistance from your supervisor.
  • Manage regular reporting and insight calls, working with your supervisor to layer in insights and recommendations.
  • Contributing regularly on status calls with updates to status items, walking through deliverables you've completed, and offering productive suggestions for additional opportunities.
  • Contributing regularly to internal team communication areas such as email, slack, and team learns; both learning from and teaching others as part of our collective educational environment.
