About The Position

FundThrough is a B2B fintech company that helps small businesses get paid faster through invoice factoring. This is a freelance role with a strategic layer: 6–8 content pieces per month (blog posts and landing pages), plus the keyword roadmap, technical GEO setup, and performance tracking that make those pieces matter. You're not just executing briefs, you're helping diagnose drop-offs and prioritize what to build. AI tools are expected and welcomed here. The bar is: would a CEO, CFO or controller at a $10M+ company find this useful, or would they close the tab?

Requirements

  • Proven track record writing SEO content that ranks with shared URLs
  • Experience diagnosing traffic drops and recovery, you've done this before and can show what happened
  • Demonstrated ability to write both informational and transactional content for the same domain
  • Working knowledge of GEO/AEO: llms.txt, FAQ schema, speakable markup, and structured content for AI citation
  • Fluency with AI writing tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.) and the editorial judgment to know when the output is good and when it's generic
  • Strong source research skills: you find primary data, not blog roundups
  • Comfort pulling performance data from GSC, Ahrefs, or Semrush and drawing real conclusions from it
  • Ability to produce 6–8 pieces/month without quality slipping in month 3

Nice To Haves

  • Experience writing for fintech, B2B SaaS, or small business audiences
  • Familiarity with invoice factoring, accounts receivable, or business financing concepts
  • Experience building link-earning content that actually earned links (show evidence)
  • Background in technical SEO, enough to identify on-page and structural issues, not just write around them

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a rolling 90-day keyword and content roadmap prioritized by search volume, competition, business relevance, and funnel stage
  • Conduct keyword gap analysis against top organic competitors to identify uncovered high-opportunity topics
  • Balance the content mix across three content types: informational blog posts, transactional landing pages, and link-earning assets
  • Audit existing posts quarterly and flag candidates for refresh, consolidation, redirect, or retirement
  • Track GEO/AEO coverage: identify topic clusters lacking structured, LLM-citable content and recommend what to build
  • Bring a point of view to monthly planning: what to write, in what order, and why
  • Write 6–8 SEO and GEO-optimized pieces per month across three content types
  • Own brief development: keyword targeting, search intent analysis, outline, and source direction
  • Integrate primary and secondary keywords naturally
  • Structure all content for LLM extractability: self-contained H2/H3 sections, FAQ-style headings, lead-with-the-answer formatting
  • Source and link to high-authority, recent external data (gov reports, industry research, academic sources)
  • Weave in 3–5 internal links per post from existing site pages
  • Deliver clean, revision-ready drafts in Google Docs on agreed timelines
