About The Position

Elder is seeking an SEO Executive to support the SEO Manager in enhancing the organic search performance of elder.org across Google and emerging discovery platforms. This role is suited for an individual with a strong foundation in SEO principles who is eager to apply them in a rapidly growing, mission-driven company. The SEO Executive will collaborate with the SEO Manager to ensure elder.org is easily found not only on Google but also on platforms like AI-powered search experiences (Google AI Overviews, AI Mode) and ChatGPT, where users increasingly seek information.

Requirements

  • A solid understanding of SEO best practices, including content creation and technical SEO optimizations.
  • Comfortable working independently with SEO and Analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar, GA4, and Screaming Frog.
  • Experience analyzing performance data and translating insights into clear, prioritized recommendations.
  • Confidence in conducting competitor analysis and identifying content or keyword gaps.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to identify opportunities and issues without constant direction.
  • Curious and eager to learn, particularly through hands-on experimentation.
  • Comfortable working closely with an SEO Manager in a small team and taking ownership of defined work areas.
  • Clear communicator, capable of explaining SEO insights to non-SEO stakeholders.
  • Keeps up-to-date with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and industry changes.
  • Strong interest in how AI, social search, and changing user behavior are impacting organic discovery.
  • Enjoys testing ideas, learning from results, and iterating based on performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in marketplaces, healthcare, or care-related sectors.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Sanity, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day SEO activities, including on-page optimization (meta titles, descriptions, heading structures, internal linking, image optimization).
  • Update and enhance existing content to improve visibility, rankings, and engagement.
  • Conduct keyword research for new and existing pages, considering user intent and search behavior.
  • Produce content based on gap analysis and new keyword research.
  • Assist in optimizing content for modern search experiences like AI Overviews and AI Mode.
  • Learn about the impact of emerging discovery platforms on SEO and apply best practices.
  • Monitor user behavior changes and help identify new SEO opportunities.
  • Support the implementation of technical SEO improvements, such as identifying duplicate content, redirect issues, or broken internal links.
  • Collaborate with the SEO Manager and engineers to prioritize and validate fixes for technical SEO issues.
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to inform content topics and optimize discoverability on social media.
  • Collaborate with the CRO Lead to support conversion rate improvements on key landing pages using SEO insights.
  • Partner with Product & Engineering teams on site improvements and new features, ensuring SEO best practices are implemented.
