About The Position

Purple Sales Solutions is seeking a mid-level SEO & Content Specialist to join their growing digital marketing team in South Africa. This is a hands-on production role focused on executing weekly SEO-optimized content for clients and designing marketing and sales materials to support lead generation programs. The company has been helping technology companies grow since 2017 and is expanding its team in South Africa.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO, preferably in B2B or agency environments.
  • Proven ability to produce content at scale on a weekly basis.
  • Strong expertise in keyword research and SEO strategy.
  • Proficiency in technical SEO, including site audits, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema, and cannibalization fixes.
  • Experience with backlink building.
  • Knowledge of AEO and GEO tactics.
  • Experience with local SEO.
  • Competent in competitor analysis.
  • Fluency in Google Search Console, Google Rich Results Test, and Google Analytics.
  • Basic web development skills: WordPress, Webflow, HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot.
  • Design skills using Canva, Figma, or Adobe.
  • Strong written English.

Nice To Haves

  • Paid ads experience (Google, LinkedIn, Meta).
  • Exposure to the B2B SaaS or technology sector.

Responsibilities

  • Implement weekly SEO-optimized blogs, case studies, and pages for clients with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Lead keyword research for content pieces and contribute to ongoing keyword strategy.
  • Apply technical SEO, on-page SEO, schema, and utilize SEO plugins.
  • Conduct and interpret site audits, managing indexation, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, and page speed.
  • Address and resolve content cannibalization issues to maintain search rankings.
  • Perform competitor analysis to identify ranking gaps and content opportunities.
  • Execute local SEO tactics for geo-targeted clients, including location pages, Google Business Profile, and citations.
  • Build backlinks to enhance domain authority.
  • Apply AEO and GEO tactics to ensure client visibility in AI search.
  • Track performance and analyze insights using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
  • Implement and publish content directly within HTML, CSS, WordPress, Webflow, and website builders like Elementor, Divi, and Bricks.
  • Design social media posts, one-pagers, and sales enablement materials.
  • Leverage B2B expertise in content creation and strategy.
