SEO/AEO Specialist

falSan Francisco, CA
18h$110,000 - $150,000

About The Position

fal is building the Generative Media Cloud. Infrastructure that helps creators and developers turn raw ideas into finished media, instantly. We’re growing fast and looking for a SEO/AEO Specialist to shape the narrative of our brand across every channel and touchpoint. If you're part storyteller, part strategist, and deeply online, this role is for you. You are a technical and creative SEO specialist who thrives on turning search into a compounding growth engine. You understand how developers discover tools: you can audit a site’s technical foundations, map intent to content, and ship pages that rank because they’re genuinely useful. You’re comfortable partnering with engineers to improve crawlability, performance, information architecture, and content quality then tying it all back to increase sign-ups and activation.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of SEO experience in developer tools, APIs, infra, or open-source ecosystems
  • Programmatic SEO at scale (template systems, model/use-case matrices)
  • Experience SEOing docs, references, or large JS sites
  • Comfortable working directly with engineers on PRs and tickets
  • Experience with AEO tooling and LLM visibility measurement (e.g. Profound)

Responsibilities

  • You will own organic search performance end-to-end. You’ll improve how fal shows up for high-intent developer queries, and you’ll help make our docs, playgrounds, and product pages more discoverable.
  • Lead technical SEO & AEO improvements: crawlability, indexing, site performance, structured data, internal linking, canonicalization, and migrations when needed.
  • Ship content with taste. Draft blogs, edit posts, and publish pages that are clear, technical, opinionated, and genuinely useful to the reader.
  • Build and execute a content + keyword strategy that maps to product and developer intent (APIs, use-cases, comparisons, guides).
  • Ship SEO-driven landing pages and content briefs that result in qualified traffic
  • Partner with engineering to implement fixes and improvements quickly (you can translate audits into actionable tickets and validate results).
  • Own reporting: track rankings, traffic quality, conversions, and activation. You’ll keep a clear view of what’s working and what isn’t.
  • Run experiments: test page formats, on-page optimizations, and content angles to improve acquisition and conversion.
  • Monitor changes in search (Google updates, AI-powered discovery, new SERP features) and adapt strategy.

Benefits

  • $110,000 - $150,000 + equity + comprehensive benefits package
  • Interesting and challenging work
  • A lot of learning and growth opportunities
  • We offer visa sponsorship and will help you relocate to San Francisco.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance (US)
  • Regular team events and offsites
