Our team is seeking an experienced Senior Manager for our Command Systems Segment supporting the acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system, known as the Sentinel. As a senior leader on the Integration Support Contract (ISC), we drive innovation and excellence in support of the ICBM enterprise. This position will directly support the Sentinel Program’s Command System’s Segment as they acquire the weapon system command & control capabilities for the next generation ICBM. This senior manager will lead a team of 30+ engineers, project managers, and weapon system subject matter experts who provide expert advice and support to Sentinel program leaders on all command & control aspects throughout the acquisition cycle.

Requirements

  • 12 years experience in direct Program Management of contracted workloads.
  • BS/MS Engineering, Computer Science, Software, Mathematics, Physics, Business Management, Logistics or equivalent experience in the applicable domain.
  • 14 years (12 years with MS degree) of progressive experience in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes (or commercial equivalent).
  • 10 years experience in system design, integration, and analytical efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of USAF acquisition processes, DoD regulations, and industry standards (e.g., Earned Value Management, Agile methodologies).
  • Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAR.
  • US Citizenship status.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ICBM systems, nuclear weapons, NC3, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with USAF organizations, including the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and the Air Force Global Strike Command.
  • Certification in program management (e.g., PMP) or a related field.
  • Experience with contractor support to government agencies, including contract management and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the ISC Command Systems segment, ensuring alignment with BAE Systems' mission and objectives.
  • Oversee program management, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure successful program execution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve mission objectives, including collaboration across all Sentinel segments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • This experienced team leader must have exceptional attention-to-detail skills and a demonstrated ability to drive team performance through coaching, mentoring, and training.
