About The Position

EDAG is hiring a Sensor Integration Design & Release Engineer to develop and release hardware integration for ADAS sensors and related components across vehicle programs. The role works with system and vehicle teams to define sensor mounting locations, brackets, interfaces, packaging, and design requirements, and coordinates concept development, design maturation, suppliers, tooling, verification, and launch. The engineer assesses the effects of mounting geometry, alignment, tolerances, vibration, temperature, contamination, and surrounding vehicle features. The position also coordinates integration with body, exterior trim, glazing, lighting, electrical, and other vehicle systems; maintains DFMEAs; supports validation planning, testing, and issue closure; and manages product definition, changes, and release data in 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX). Additional support includes vehicle builds, calibration-related integration, manufacturing readiness, and production launch. The role is a six-month contract based in Dearborn, Michigan, or Long Beach, California.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with ADAS systems and automotive sensor hardware integration from concept through launch.
  • Working knowledge of 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), DFMEA, and engineering release processes.
  • English proficiency at C1–C2 level.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant skills in camera, radar, ultrasonic, lidar, or other vehicle sensing technologies relevant to the program.
  • Knowledge of sensor fields of view, mounting alignment, tolerance sensitivity, calibration access, and vehicle-level packaging.
  • Knowledge of sensor performance considerations such as vibration, thermal exposure, electromagnetic compatibility, and obstruction or contamination.
  • Experience with brackets, housings, radomes, fascia or grille integration, sensor covers, and related materials or manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of validation and calibration workflows, design verification, and production integration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and release hardware integration for ADAS sensors and related components across vehicle programs.
  • Define sensor mounting locations, brackets, interfaces, packaging, and design requirements in coordination with system and vehicle teams.
  • Coordinate concept development, design maturation, supplier activity, tooling, verification, and launch.
  • Assess the impacts of mounting geometry, alignment, tolerances, vibration, temperature, contamination, and surrounding vehicle features.
  • Coordinate integration with body, exterior trim, glazing, lighting, electrical, and other vehicle systems.
  • Develop and maintain DFMEAs and support validation planning, test execution, and issue closure.
  • Maintain product definition, changes, and release data in 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
  • Support vehicle builds, calibration-related integration activities, manufacturing readiness, and production launch.
