Requirements

  • Must possess and have the ability to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • BS 2-4 Years or MS 0-2 in Imaging Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or related STEM field.
  • Working knowledge of Image Quality Equations (IQEs) to include creation and application.
  • Basic understanding of simulation and modeling techniques or the image creation process.
  • Working knowledge of imagery systems to include basic types of PAN, IR, and RADAR.
  • Working knowledge of various basic ELTs, Matlab, and mathematics/equations/functions.
  • Basic knowledge of sensor types to include airborne, space-borne, and FMV.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills
  • Able to develop and use more complex concepts and processes, conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with current GEOINT systems, products and development, as well as exploitation software packages such as all ELTs, AGITK, and other software plug-ins or applications necessary to develop test and verification methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the NGA Integration Test and Image Quality Office (TAC) which is the primary integration testing and quality assurance organization.
  • Assist with providing independent verification and validation of software and hardware, and information system releases prior to operations.
  • Source, select, and qualify components used in the company’s technology.
  • Investigate alternate component technologies or supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability.
  • Act as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources.
  • Investigate alternate component technologies or supplies for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability, and implement changes.
  • Develop guidelines/procedures on vendor selection.
  • Evaluate supplier change notification and qualify changes, as needed.
  • May maintain component data management system including qualification records/results/documentation.
