Senior Yardi System Specialist (Newport News, Virginia)
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Yardi System Specialist to support, maintain, and optimize our Yardi environment across multiple business functions and properties. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for Yardi applications, provide advanced troubleshooting and reporting support, collaborate with operational teams, and assist with system upgrades, integrations, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on Yardi experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting end users across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and administering Yardi software
- Strong understanding of Yardi modules, workflows, and property management operations
- SQL experience strongly preferred
- Experience with report writing and data analysis
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Experience supporting enterprise software in a multi-property or multi-site environment preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Yardi Voyager and ancillary modules
- Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and data imports/exports
- Experience with SSRS, YSR, or other reporting platforms
- Knowledge of accounting and property management processes
Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and maintain the Yardi platform and related modules
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, user access concerns, and data discrepancies
- Configure workflows, permissions, dashboards, and system settings within Yardi
- Provide advanced support to accounting, operations, and site teams
- Develop and maintain reports using Yardi reporting tools and SQL queries
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, implementations, and migrations
- Assist with property acquisitions, dispositions, and property terminations within Yardi
- Coordinate system setup and transitions for newly acquired properties
- Support and maintain third-party integrations with Yardi and troubleshoot integration-related issues alongside Integrations and Project Manager
- Assist Integrations and Project Manager with setup, configuration, testing, and ongoing support of third-party software integrations
- Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and training materials
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders on integrations and projects
- Support data integrity initiatives and audit processes
