About The Position

This is a 6-month contract position for a Senior Workday Payroll Analyst focusing on Payroll Operations & Compliance. The role involves leading payroll audits, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting system configurations and integrations, and partnering with various departments on payroll-related initiatives. The analyst will also be responsible for preparing payroll reports and analyzing variances.

Requirements

  • Multi-state payroll processing and compliance
  • Payroll systems: Workday, UKG/Kronos, ADP
  • Payroll audits, reconciliations, and GL validation
  • Payroll tax regulations and wage and hour compliance
  • Advanced Excel (large dataset analysis)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years payroll experience in large, multi-state environment
  • Strong experience with payroll systems and integrations
  • Deep understanding of payroll compliance and internal controls
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and resolving discrepancies

Nice To Haves

  • CPP certification
  • Experience with international payroll
  • Exposure to union or labor agreement payroll rules

Responsibilities

  • Lead payroll audits, reconciliations, and validation of payroll, tax, and GL data
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Support SOX and external audits with required documentation
  • Drive payroll process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Support system configuration, testing, and integrations across payroll platforms
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and Legal on payroll-related initiatives
  • Prepare payroll reports, analyze variances, and present insights to leadership
