About The Position

The Workday Product Owner is responsible for the strategic oversight, implementation, optimization, and governance of the organization’s Workday platform. This role serves as the primary owner of Workday functionality across all HCM modules, partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business leaders to ensure the platform effectively supports business objectives, operational excellence, and an exceptional experience.

Requirements

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide Workday implementations and major enhancement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday architecture, business processes, and integrations.
  • Experience building customized Workday dashboards and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate requirements into actionable plans and solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
  • Developed test scripts and prepare data to ensure successful implementation of projects and enhancements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday, including system administration, implementations, or program leadership.
  • Strong proficiency in enterprise process and requirement analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide Workday implementations, module deployments, system enhancements, tenant configuration, upgrades, process improvements, and development of business processes across Core HCM and secondary modules.
  • Serve as the enterprise owner and subject matter expert for the Workday platform.
  • Develop and maintain the Workday roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish processes for Workday enhancements, releases, security, and change management.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities to maximize system capabilities and improve business processes.
  • Architect and manage the Workday security matrix, custom security groups, and domain permissions to protect data integrity and ensure compliance with internal audit guidelines.
  • Coordinate with implementation partners, consultants, and internal teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Design complex custom, matrix, composite, and trending reports using calculated fields and dashboards to deliver actionable data insights to executive leadership.
  • Lead the design of comprehensive test scenarios, regression testing matrices, and manage the defect-resolution process during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and implement system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide executive-level updates regarding project status, risks, and strategic recommendations.
