This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer's site. AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Several years of experience in network administration, with a focus on WAN technologies and infrastructure.
  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), or similar credentials.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing WAN technologies, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Candidate must have a Security + Certification
  • Must be able to attain an ITIL 4 Certification within 4 months of Start Date.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize WAN solutions to ensure reliable and efficient connectivity across multiple locations.
  • Configure and manage WAN devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
  • Continuously monitor WAN performance, identify issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting to resolve network problems promptly.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data transmitted across the WAN. This includes setting up VPNs, encryption, and access controls.
  • Analyze network traffic and optimize WAN performance to ensure high availability and minimal latency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the WAN infrastructure, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Generate regular reports on network performance and health.
  • Work closely with other IT teams, including LAN administrators, server administrators, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the network.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to keep the WAN infrastructure up-to-date and secure.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for network services, equipment, and support.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure network resiliency and business continuity in case of network failures or emergencies.
