About The Position

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated, maintenance orientated Sr. Welder at our Des Moines Shop location. This position will be responsible for welding, fabricating, cutting and miscellaneous mechanical work for our Des Moines District operating plants. This position will be working in underground mines, surface quarries, sand plants and our maintenance shop.

Requirements

• High School Degree
• Previous welding/fabrication experience
• 3+ years related experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Skill Trade Certification(s)

Nice To Haves

• Bi-Lingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant equipment
• Work in outdoor environments and in elevated areas
• Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant equipment
• Use a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
• Be proactive in Safety and work well in a team
• Work with minimal supervision
• Travel 60% of the time
• Other duties as assigned
• Take on other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs.
