About The Position

Advantage Design Group is seeking a player-coach Senior Web Developer, Team Lead to join their growing development team. This is a leadership role from week one, with approximately 70% hands-on engineering in C# and .NET, and 30% leadership responsibilities. The role involves mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews as coaching, improving estimation and capacity modeling, and working on modern content platform development including Umbraco upgrades, Lit and Web Components, TypeScript, responsive design, WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility, and integration reliability.

Requirements

Seven or more years in C# and .NET.
Experience leading engineers, formally or informally, with a demonstrable positive impact on their growth.
Ability to still write and ship production code.
Experience owning a delivery commitment to a date and understanding when it has slipped.
Strong SQL Server, front-end, and integration experience.
Comfort in client conversations.

Nice To Haves

Management training (funded by the company).
Umbraco or a comparable .NET CMS experience.
Design system work.
Azure and CI/CD experience.
Experience from mid-market product companies, software vendors, and agencies that grew into products.

Responsibilities

Provide feedback, development plans, and calibration for engineers on your team.
Conduct code reviews that teach and uphold team standards.
Own and improve work sizing, estimation, and capacity modeling.
Lead modern content platform work, including Umbraco upgrades and backoffice extensions.
Ensure front-end and integration craft, including TypeScript, responsive work, WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility, and integration reliability.
