Senior Water Resources Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL. Your role involves project management for multiple municipal projects, including contract negotiations with clients and sub-consultants. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, billings, and reports, conducting or coordinating detailed phases of engineering work. This includes performing preliminary engineering design and reviewing the work of junior engineers, designers, or drafters. You will work with external clients at progress meetings and throughout projects to meet client needs, project schedules, goals, and deadlines. The role also requires preparing cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets, and schedules, as well as performing quality control and guidance of junior staff related to hydrologic/hydraulic models or methods. You will prepare or oversee the preparation of final plans, design reports, and hydrologic/hydraulic models and modeling reports for approval, and coordinate work with other engineers and professionals.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources).
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida with 10+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in project management including budget, schedule and deliverable performance.
- Demonstrated experience working with municipalities, water management districts, and other water agencies.
- Good technical writing, computer and communications skills.

- Management coursework and/or MBA is a plus.
Responsibilities

- Prepares cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets and schedules.
- Performs quality control and guidance of junior staff related to hydrologic/hydraulic models or methods.
- Prepares or oversees the preparation of final plans and design reports and submits them for approval.
- Prepares or oversees the preparation of hydrologic/hydraulic models and modeling reports and submits them for approval.
- Coordinates work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff.
- May perform other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.
