The Lethbridge Police Service is currently accepting applications for a full-time permanent Watch -Senior Team Lead. Reporting to The Watch Manager, The Watch Senior Team Lead is a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion and commitment for serving other people and playing a role in ensuring our community is a welcoming and safe place for everyone. The Watch Senior Team Lead acts as additional eyes and ears of social and community service agencies and to our emergency service providers to connect people with public and private social support agencies and organizations. Provide highly visible deterrence to negative behaviours, and increase the overall perception of downtown safety for all people. The Watch Senior Team Lead provides on‑street leadership and coordination to a team of volunteers and Watch Team Leads, ensuring a consistent, highly visible presence in the downtown area. This role is responsible for planning and assigning daily patrols, managing shift schedules and resources, and providing clear direction, supervision, and support to team members in the field. The Senior Team Lead works collaboratively with community partners, social agencies, and internal stakeholders to support public safety and outreach initiatives, while delivering compassionate assistance to individuals accessing social supports. They are also responsible for coordinating responses to calls for service, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, maintaining operational standards, and fostering strong, respectful relationships within the community.
