About The Position

Ashley Furniture is seeking a visionary Senior Warehouse Automation Engineer to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that will reshape the future of distribution operations. This role involves designing and implementing multi-million dollar automation solutions across their national distribution network, impacting next-generation warehouse automation systems, robotics and AI integration, smart distribution technologies, industry-leading technology adoption, and the future of furniture distribution.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Robotics, or related field)
5+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse automation, material handling systems, or industrial automation
Proven track record leading large-scale automation projects from design through implementation
Experience with robotics integration, controls programming, and system commissioning
Proficiency with automation design software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar)
Strong understanding of control systems (PLCs, robotics controllers, SCADA)
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)
Knowledge of AI/ML applications in logistics and automation
Familiarity with safety standards and compliance requirements
Strategic thinking with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative mindset with cross-functional team experience

Optimize ROI through data-driven decision making and performance analysis.
Automate repetitive tasks and streamline operational workflows.
