About The Position

The Senior Vocational Nurse - Acute Rehab performs assigned nursing procedures, taking vital signs, collecting and processing specimens for analysis, and assisting physicians with examinations and treatments. The incumbent observes, records, and reports the physical and mental condition of patients.

Requirements

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Minimum 1 year experience working as an LVN in an acute care setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Licensed Vocational Nurse
• Basic Life Support
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of JCAHO requirements
• Previous experience working in rehab preferred
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
