Senior Visual Designer

KlueVancouver, BC
CA$145,000 - CA$183,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Senior Visual Designer is a key creative and strategic role in Klue’s product organization. This role requires a deep understanding of users to translate that understanding into intuitive and beautiful experiences, maintaining a high standard for both UX quality and visual craft. This is a UX-focused role with strong visual design capabilities. The designer will own product areas end-to-end, from discovery and research through interaction design, visual execution, and production. They will collaborate with designers, PMs, and engineers to create intuitive shared patterns, enabling the broader EPD team to build consistent, polished UI autonomously. This is an opportunity to design AI-first, agent-led tools that function more like team members than traditional SaaS products, emphasizing craft, simplicity, and speed.

Requirements

  • Senior Product Design Experience with a portfolio showcasing UX process, visual quality, and shipped outcomes.
  • Strong command of research methods, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex workflows for non-expert users.
  • B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • A strong aesthetic sensibility and a track record of shipping UI that is genuinely beautiful.
  • Track record of working closely with PMs and engineers to navigate constraints and ship at pace.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted design and prototyping tools, and ideally helping others prototype faster and more consistently.
  • Ability to document thinking, explain rationale, and create shared understanding across disciplines.

Nice To Haves

  • Design system ownership or maintenance experience.
  • Experience simplifying complex, multi-persona B2B SaaS workflows.
  • Motion design and micro-interaction skills.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence, sales enablement, or related B2B domains.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior designers or shaping design culture on a small team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end experience of major product areas, from discovery and problem framing through interaction design, visual execution, and production handoff.
  • Shape the product specification, not just execute it.
  • Run or facilitate user interviews, usability tests, and synthesis sessions.
  • Translate research findings into clear, actionable design direction.
  • Apply aesthetic judgment to ensure screens are polished, considered, and consistent, with strong opinions on typography, spacing, and color.
  • Act as a design thought partner for PMs and engineers, contributing to product discussions, providing evidence-based pushback, and aligning on constraints.
  • Utilize AI prototyping tools (v0, Framer, Galileo, Cursor, etc.) to explore ideas and ship higher-fidelity prototypes faster.
  • Help build workflows that enable non-designers to prototype effectively and consistently.
  • Build components, LLM rules, assets, and documentation to empower PMs and developers to prototype and ship system-aligned work autonomously.
  • Proactively identify areas where the product feels fragmented or off-brand and drive initiatives to improve them.
