About The Position

This position is for a Senior Video Producer at Agile Defense, a company focused on adaptive innovation to support national missions through advanced technologies and agility. The role involves managing and executing expert-level photography and videography tasks, providing on-site and after-hours support for events, and performing professional photo and video editing with quick turnarounds. The Senior Video Producer will design custom videos for various communication needs, create video process guides and photography best practices, conduct trainings, outline and script video packages, interview subjects, and ensure all video content is captioned and 508 compliant. The role requires a strong focus on customer experience and staying informed on foreign policy issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience (each year of work experience may be substituted for each year of education required)
  • Expert-level on-site support for photography and videography
  • Proficiency with professional digital photography and videography equipment and current techniques
  • Expert-level virtual recording and editing support
  • Expert-level professional photo and video editing skills
  • Ability to design expert-level custom videos and craft educational stories and messaging through various video formats
  • Ability to create video process guides and photography best practices training modules and guides
  • Ability to conduct and update trainings
  • Expert-level outlining, scripting, and producing video packages
  • Ability to interview diverse subjects (students to high-profile government officials and celebrities)
  • Ability to provide expert guidance and creative ideas for professional quality videos and photos
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance for videos, including captioning

  • Ability to conceptualize and produce contemporary and compelling photo and video assets (event coverage, short- and long-form productions, original animations, social media sharable text graphics, and more) that inform and inspire.
  • Ability to be a visual storyteller, capturing the impact of people-to-people diplomatic engagements in stills and motion.
  • Ability to work in a variety of contexts providing end-to-end support or augmenting in-house resources with a portion of a project (scriptwriting, editing, animations and graphics, integrating content from multiple sources, and/or providing post-production for both videography and photography events).
  • Specialization in planning, scripting, capturing, producing, editing, incorporating graphics, post-production, and distribution of multimedia assets.
  • Ability to utilize and create media for specific channels and platforms to push stories and assets through multimedia video and photography in a variety of contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level on-site and after-hours photography and videography support for an average of seven events per week, utilizing professional digital photography and videography equipment and expert-level current techniques.
  • Provide expert-level virtual recording and editing support for direct-to-camera filming and remote interviews as needed.
  • Perform expert-level professional photo and video editing in accordance with assigned service requests, ensuring most photo editing has a same-day turnaround and video editing has same-day or next-day delivery after important events and initiatives.
  • Design expert-level custom videos and craft educational stories and messaging through crowdsourced videos, event recaps, promo videos, social media videos, live video, animated gifs, documentary, and direct addresses in accordance with assigned service requests.
  • In support of the Digital Director, create a "Working with PASC" Video Process Guides and Tips for helping program offices tell their story and effectively communicate messages.
  • In support of the Digital Director, create a Photography Best Practices and Tips virtual and in-person training module, plus a one-page guide, for use by program offices and staff assistants.
  • Conduct virtual or in-person trainings as directed by government manager and update trainings as directed.
  • Outline, script, and produce video packages at an expert-level in support of the Digital Director.
  • Interview subjects for video packages that range from students to high-profile government officials and celebrities.
  • Provide expert guidance and creative ideas for professional quality videos and photos for the bureau.
  • Ensure videos are captioned and 508 compliant.
  • Ensure a positive and measurable customer experience (CX) when working with all stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast on foreign policy issues and current events.
