The New York Times is seeking an experienced video editor with a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to deliver engaging work on tight deadlines. This role will focus on vertical video storytelling with The Times' world-class journalists on-camera, requiring deep experience in breaking and ongoing news coverage and a track record of creating digitally compelling short-form video journalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of modern mobile video storytelling, be a quick learner with creative ideas, and possess the ability to work collaboratively in small or large teams. The position requires a solutions-oriented, detail-oriented, organized, and fast-paced approach. There are two positions available: one in News and Enterprise, and another in Culture and Lifestyle (music and film to fashion and real estate). These are primarily in-office positions based in New York, with four days of regular office attendance required each week. An exception is made for the News and Enterprise role, which may be based in the LA office. Some flexibility for remote work may be available per departmental guidance.
