About The Position

This combination aims to create a stronger entity with deeper sector expertise, faster access to solutions, and the precision to handle complex assignments. The new agency is a leading communications consultancy with strengths in health & life sciences, technology, financial services, social impact, and the public sector. This role is for a visionary Strategic Planner to lead strategic planning for a pioneering healthcare neurology brand franchise. It requires blending creativity, strategy, and business partnership in healthcare communications, with the goal of making "health more human" and driving brand growth. The Strategic Planner will translate complex challenges into compelling narratives and actionable strategies, requiring a deep understanding of the healthcare and neurology landscapes and patient journeys.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience as a strategic planner in an agency setting.
  • Experience in healthcare and neurology (HCP and DTC).
  • Empathy for audiences and colleagues.
  • Track record of developing impactful brand strategies that drive growth and engagement.
  • Ability to balance analytical thinking and creative storytelling.

Nice To Haves

  • Neurology experience is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning process, from insight generation to strategy development for both the brands and the above-brand, flagship neurology franchise.
  • Dive deep into neurology healthcare trends, patient needs, and market dynamics to inform innovative strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, account, data/insights, and digital teams to ensure strategies are insight-driven and creatively compelling.
  • Present and defend strategies to internal teams and clients with confidence, clarity, and charisma.
  • Develop and facilitate effective team brainstorms, client-facing workshops and planning exercises.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends in healthcare, communications, and culture to keep the brand ahead of the curve.
  • Participate in new business pitches and pitch to win.
