About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Vice President to enhance our already robust team of professionals supporting our clients throughout the US. Our forensic architects and engineers routinely perform forensic investigations, provide consultation, prepare and deliver technical papers; and serve as expert witnesses. Our areas of practice include roofing, fenestrations, foundations and envelopes on residential, commercial and industrial buildings; hazard assessments and resulting damage; design and construction defect evaluation; and premise liability evaluations. Assignments will require some road and air travel. Active involvement in professional associations and societies is encouraged and supported. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of forensic consulting but also be flexible and a strategic thinker, able to take on a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a minimum of 10+ years of forensic engineering and work experience in the litigation field, with responsibilities for large complex commercial matters. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture
  • Professional Engineer license (Required)
  • Experience working with hail, wind damages and roofing failures (Required)
  • 2 or more years of engineering design experience or construction experience
  • 10 or more years of experience as a forensic consultant working directly with litigation and insurance clients
  • 10 or more years of experience in the construction defect field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A desire to learn, excel and grow with us and within the profession
  • Drivers License

Responsibilities

  • Conducts field observations, testing and data collection
  • Prepares reports detailing observations made, testing results, research conducted, and opinions or recommendations
  • Works with building departments to determine repair directives
  • Conducts research and develops technical topics for publication
