As Corporate Security, we are responsible for keeping Mastercard safe and secure from cyber and physical threats, and it is our people on the frontlines who make this happen every day. The Corporate Security ‘Security Threat and Response Management’ (STRM) program is responsible for providing Mastercard the ability to prevent or react to varying physical and logical security concerns; from cyber-attacks and data compromise events, to property theft and physical threats against our staff. This team is responsible for addressing security incidents quickly and effectively. This team is also responsible for enterprise resilience, ensuring business continuity and technical recovery capabilities, in addition to guaranteeing major events, traveler safety, security threat intelligence and executive protection programs are executed with excellence.

Requirements

  • Have led the response to a major security or crisis incident.
  • Have overseen the planning and execution of security plans in support of major events or significant protectees.
  • Driven strategic organizational change at an enterprise level.
  • Have led teams that have cross cyber and physical security disciplines.
  • 10-15 years of security experience leading across both the physical and logical domains.
  • Understand the detailed requirements of their security function, while also having the ability to communicate security goals and objectives to company executives.
  • Have a solid network of public and private sector external partners, as well as established relationships across the enterprise, that will be able to help the candidate achieve the goals of the team.
  • Experience in the planning and management of core elements of the role such as security intelligence, incident response, major events, business continuity and technology recovery.
  • Experience developing and delivering strategic security plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to effect strategic change of security technology and policy at an enterprise level.
  • Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
  • Report any suspected information security violation or breach
  • Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for planning long term security strategies for the response operations functions, and will work with other teams to maintain and support the Corporate Security strategy.
  • Will manage our globally-situated Security Operations Centers, Fusion Centers, and Forensic Labs, and related investigations; Regional Security, Facilities Security, Executive and Event Protection; Crisis Management; Enterprise Resilience; and product management for the technology supporting these functions, globally within Corporate Security.
  • Provides updates, and briefings on security to executive management.
  • Will maintain or improve the security threat and response management program by ensuring forensic, intelligence, and security operations and fusion centers are meeting mission goals.
  • Will maintain or improve the enterprise resilience program, ensuring all businesses and technology have the appropriate level of business continuation and technology recovery capabilities.
  • Will maintain or improve the security programs needed to ensure the safety of facilities, executives, and major events.
