About The Position

PayZen is seeking a strategic, results-oriented senior sales leader to lead the full sales lifecycle and build a durable executive-level provider revenue engine. The role is responsible for winning new health systems, deepening executive relationships, and establishing PayZen as an indispensable strategic partner. The successful candidate will help grow products intended to improve healthcare access and affordability for patients and cash flow and administrative complexity for medical providers. The role owns commercial growth across target health systems, including new account acquisition and expansion through cross-selling and upselling offerings such as financial assistance automation and the Care Card. It also leads the enterprise sales operating system, executive customer engagement, account coverage, cross-functional coordination, and the recruitment and development of a high-performing sales organization. The position reports to the CCO and collaborates closely with Product, Partnerships, Engineering, and RevOps. It is remote and open to candidates in the U.S., with significant travel to health systems and industry events and regular time with the team in the Bay Area.

Requirements

  • Proven enterprise sales hunting track record, including opening and closing new enterprise accounts, managing multi-stakeholder buying committees, and navigating IT, security, and Epic integration reviews.
  • Strong operational leadership, including disciplined territory planning, pipeline coverage, and forecasting processes.
  • Demonstrated player-coach and team-building experience, including talent identification, fair performance management, and developing leaders who can execute complex deals independently.
  • Experience executing a land-and-expand motion and holding sellers accountable for the ongoing success and growth of their accounts.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a partner-heavy ecosystem and sell alongside end-to-end revenue cycle vendors without creating channel conflict.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial lifecycle across target health systems, drive net-new account acquisition, and build a repeatable expansion motion for cross-selling and upselling offerings such as financial assistance automation and the Care Card.
  • Implement and enforce an enterprise sales operating system, including clear stage definitions, deal inspection, close planning, and accurate forecasting.
  • Serve as a senior counterpart to health system CFOs and revenue cycle management leaders, leading financial discussions about yield, MDR, recourse versus non-recourse, and balance-sheet implications.
  • Design and manage the coverage model for live partners, hold sellers accountable from first meeting through renewal, and establish executive relationship mapping and QBRs.
  • Create a customer-to-product intelligence loop with Product and Engineering, ensure seamless handoffs with Provider Value Delivery, and run the channel-sales overlay with Partnerships/BD.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain enterprise sellers and leaders; manage performance; and evolve organizational design and territory coverage as the company scales.
