Senior Vice President, Product

KEV GroupToronto, ON

About The Position

We're looking for a Senior Vice President of Product to lead all of product at KEV — the accounting, financial assurance, and integrated payments products that 27,000+ schools rely on. Reporting to the CTO and partnering closely with Engineering, you'll drive the product vision, the roadmap, and the decisions that shape both. You'll set the direction for the product organization and lead the team that delivers it, turning customer insight into products that drive growth and earn trust. This is a rare kind of product leadership role: the stability of a 30 year old, profitable business paired with the ambition and pace of a company entering its next stage of growth. You'll build on a foundation that already serves 27,000+ schools across North America, with a clear mandate to shape what comes next.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product leadership, including overseeing Product at high-growth B2B SaaS
  • Demonstrated experience scaling a SaaS business — you've grown a product and its revenue, not just maintained one
  • FinTech experience — you've built products where money movement, accuracy, and trust are core to the job (required)
  • Deep product craft — a strong, evidenced point of view on what great products and a great delivery model look like
  • Led UX design and research — you hold a high bar for design and know what great and poor customer experience look like
  • A track record of driving commercial outcomes — building the business case for product investments up front with GTM, and owning pricing, packaging, and monetization
  • Have built and evolved product operating models — discovery-to-delivery, quality gates, delivery excellence — across mutli-product portfolios, often through platform unifications or migrations
  • A leader who builds, levels, and coaches high-performing product, design, and operations teams
  • Rigorous about customer trust — deep customer discovery paired with real ownership of product reliability, accuracy, and (where relevant) compliance
  • Data- and AI-minded — you turn usage signals into decisions and have a clear point of view on how AI serves users [separate the AI]
  • An exceptional executive communicator who aligns senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, builds shared conviction, and rallies the organization behind key decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • M&A and K-12 education

Responsibilities

  • Advance the product strategy and portfolio vision. Sharpen and evolve a multi-year vision and outcome-based roadmap tied to OKRs, making the hard calls on where to invest, sustain, or sunset across a multi-product portfolio.
  • Lead and grow the product organization. Build, level, and coach a high-performing product, design, and operations team, and set the standard for what great product work looks like.
  • Champion customer trust and product integrity. Run structured customer discovery and voice-of-customer programs, and embed reliability, accuracy, and compliance into the product lifecycle, because in K-12 finance, getting it right isn't optional.
  • Serve schools and families alike. Steward products that 27,000+ schools and 11 million parents already rely on every day balancing what school administrators need with the everyday experience families expect, and scaling how we listen across an audience this large.
  • Drive commercial outcomes. Partner with the CRO on pricing, packaging, and monetization that move NRR, win rates, and payments adoption, and build the business case for major product investments up front with GTM, so Product and revenue are aligned before we build.
  • Set the operating and delivery model. Define how Product and Engineering work together from discovery through delivery, with the quality gates and release discipline that let a multi-product platform ship reliably and at pace, and drive the consolidation of built and acquired products into one scalable platform.
  • Raise the bar on design and user experience. Champion UX design and research as core to how the product gets built, holding a high standard for the craft and the customer experience it produces.
  • Own the data and AI agenda. Build a data and AI-enabled product stack that turns usage signals into decisions, and define how AI shows up in the product for our users.
  • Move the company in one direction. Bring the executive team and KEV's stakeholders along on the product strategy, translating trade-offs into shared conviction and turning input from across the business into decisions people stand behind.
