About The Position

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Product Manager to join our Global Payments & Trade team. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact by leading product management, development, and strategy for large and/or complex products, often in high-growth potential areas. You will develop a deep understanding of industry trends, market segments, and competitor services. Your responsibilities include developing ideas for new products, ensuring risk, regulations, and market conditions are considered throughout the product lifecycle, and analyzing complex client requirements to develop solutions that may involve multiple products. A strong understanding of product economics and business acumen is essential. You will independently manage the development, enhancement, and profitability of assigned products, conducting operational and marketing analysis to meet profitability and penetration goals. You will be accountable for maximizing the value of the product and owning the end-to-end delivery of the pod’s outcomes, ensuring roadmap execution by supporting and coaching the team. Managing relationships with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc., is crucial for meeting requirements during new product development, enhancement, delivery, strategy, and planning. You will employ a client-focused, strategic approach to develop business cases through in-depth analyses of client segments, competitive landscape, and industry environment. Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of assigned products, the marketplace, and client needs is key to driving product growth and maximizing profitability. You will create product management roadmaps, establish evaluation criteria and success metrics, and lead pricing, promotion, distribution strategies, and competitive differentiators. Positioning products for specific client segments, highlighting key benefits and competitive advantages, and engaging with Sales and Relationship Management to support business sales are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in providing payment, banking as a service, or embedded payment solutions product ownership or product management required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leads product management, development and strategy for large and/or complex products
  • Develops ideas for new products.
  • Ensures that risk, regulations, and market conditions are accounted for throughout the life-cycle of developed products.
  • Analyses complex client requirements and develops solutions that may include more than one product.
  • Must understand the economics behind products and demonstrate business acumen.
  • Independently manages the development, enhancement, and profitability of assigned products and performs both operational and marketing analysis to ensure profitability and penetration goals are met.
  • Accountable for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the pod.
  • Owns end-to-end of delivery on the pod’s outcomes and ensures execution of the pod’s roadmap towards objectives by supporting and coaching the pod’s team to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the backlog and priorities.
  • Manages relationship with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc. to ensure different requirements are met during the new product development, enhancement, delivery, strategy, and planning processes.
  • Employs a client-focused, strategic approach to develop the business case for firm offerings in the marketplace through in-depth and complex analyses on client segments, competitive landscape and industry environment.
