Challenging and Fun Creating an Incredible Work Environment Genuine People Force For Good Position Summary: Implement and maintain a documented system of adequate and effective accounting, tax, treasury, and financial reporting policies and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and cash management. Implement and maintain a documented, adequate, and effective internal control system. Oversee the annual audit process and coordinate with outside auditors and tax preparers as needed. Oversee the monthly accounting close to ensure accurate financial results and maintenance of records. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement package. Preparation of various financial reports for equity owners. Review work performed by accounting subordinates including fixed assets and depreciation, accounts payable, personal property tax filings, company Purchase Card program management and recording of expenses. Management of Treasury functions and banking relationships. Debt covenant calculations and submissions to lender quarterly and annually. Management and maintenance of corporate legal documents. Monthly state license filings with various state agencies. Provide financial reports to the compliance department for various state agency filings. Management of bi-annual business insurance renewals. Management of the bi-annual business D&O insurance renewals. Management of ASC 842 lease accounting for all leases. Quarterly dividend calculations and payment distributions. Main contact for any property and business liability claims and coordination with business insurance broker. Work with Human Resources on the annual 401k and Workers’ Compensation audits. Manage and supervise the Title IV G5 reconciliation process and the Title IV funding drawdowns and transfers to company trust and bank accounts. Annual filing of the FISAP report to the Department of Education. Prepare consolidated weekly cash flow reports and consolidated cash projections. Management of cash requirements and cash balance. Supervision of annual 1099 reporting. Work and communicate effectively with all departments and with the executive team. Support all company initiatives by process and procedure as communicated. Comply with all State, Federal, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations Other duties as assigned by CFO or CEO.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a college or university in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of ten years of related experience in accounting, financial reporting and auditing.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting
  • Active CPA license is preferred.
