This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned executive to work directly with firm ownership and principals, influence strategic investment decisions, and make a meaningful impact on a growing, high-performing organization. In this role, you will be at the center of our multifamily operations — combining analytical rigor with strategic vision to optimize asset performance across diverse markets. You will have the autonomy to drive initiatives, lead a team, and shape the firm’s asset management platform in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with direct access to senior leadership and meaningful participation in the firm’s success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in multifamily asset management, operations, and acquisitions with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
  • Proven track record managing complex, geographically diverse portfolios at significant scale (3,000+ units preferred).
  • Experience with value-add and opportunistic multifamily investment strategies, including renovation program oversight and asset repositioning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager and revenue management platforms.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A natural problem-solver with the ability to think strategically and execute methodically in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including ownership and investors.
  • Self-motivated executive who thrives in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment and operates with a high degree of independence.
  • Results-oriented with a proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and drive performance across a large portfolio.
  • Ownership mentality — you hold yourself and your team to the same standard you would if it were your own capital.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master’s in Real Estate strongly preferred.
  • Industry designations such as CPM or CCIM are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with firm ownership and senior leadership to develop and execute comprehensive business plans for existing assets and new acquisitions across the portfolio.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of portfolio operating results, identify key trends, and deliver actionable strategic recommendations to firm principals.
  • Lead due diligence efforts on potential acquisitions, contributing directly to investment decisions that shape portfolio growth and strategy.
  • Advise on hold/sell decisions, capital allocation, and portfolio repositioning based on deep market knowledge and rigorous financial analysis.
  • Maintain oversight of all assets through the full investment lifecycle, from acquisition onboarding through disposition.
  • Collaborate with property management teams nationwide to implement strategic initiatives and ensure operational goals are achieved across all portfolio assets.
  • Establish performance expectations, KPIs, and reporting standards for property management teams and hold them accountable to results.
  • Work closely with the capital projects group to oversee renovation and rehabilitation programs that enhance asset value and drive NOI growth.
  • Travel regularly to properties across the portfolio to build relationships with on-site teams and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Manage property management contracts, fee structures, and performance evaluations.
  • Review and approve capital budgets while establishing long-term strategic goals for portfolio assets.
  • Create sophisticated financial models using historical data to guide investment and operational decisions.
  • Monitor performance metrics, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for portfolio enhancement.
  • Prepare and deliver investor reporting, capital account statements, and portfolio performance updates for equity partners and firm principals.
  • Lead debt refinancing analysis, agency loan executions, and capital structure optimizations across the portfolio.
  • Lead and mentor the asset management team, setting performance standards and fostering a high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Establish best practices, workflows, and reporting standards that scale with the firm’s growing portfolio.
  • Represent asset management in firm-wide leadership discussions, investment committee presentations, and strategic planning.

  • Best-in-Class Team. Work alongside an investment team with over 30 years of market expertise and a track record of identifying and executing where others see complexity.
  • Comprehensive Benefits. Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid time off and holidays.
