About The Position

HUB International is seeking a strategic and growth-oriented executive to lead its Mid-Market Commercial Lines business across Ontario. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a commercially minded executive who thrives on driving revenue, leading transformation, and building high-performing teams at scale. Reporting to the COO of HUB Ontario, the SVP will oversee a $50M+ commercial portfolio spanning 15+ offices, with accountability for profitable growth, operational performance, market expansion, and talent leadership across the province.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in commercial insurance brokerage or a related financial services environment
  • Proven success leading large-scale revenue growth initiatives with direct P&L accountability
  • Deep understanding of the Ontario commercial insurance market and carrier landscape
  • Experience leading geographically distributed teams through growth and transformation
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence clients, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders
  • M&A integration experience and a track record of building scalable teams and succession pipelines
  • RIBO license (or eligibility) and industry designations such as CIP, FCIP, or CRM are considered strong assets
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive organic growth, client retention, and new business performance across the Ontario commercial platform
  • Shape and execute long-term commercial growth strategies aligned with regional and national priorities
  • Expand industry specialization and cross-selling opportunities across insurance, benefits, and specialty practices
  • Lead operational consistency and service excellence across multiple offices and teams
  • Strengthen carrier partnerships and represent HUB as a senior market-facing executive
  • Partner closely with M&A leadership on acquisitions and integration initiatives
  • Build and develop high-performing commercial leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Act as an executive sponsor for key mid-market client relationships and strategic accounts
