Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer
About The Position
The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services or technical support. This role involves providing comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs, evaluating compliance with the organization's technology standards, and programming well-designed, testable, efficient code. The position requires analyzing, designing, and developing tests and test-automation suites, creating flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions, and maintaining software functionality and currency (addressing technical debt and gain). The engineer will actively participate in code reviews, integrate software components into a fully functional software system, and apply security and privacy principles. Responsibilities also include working with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications, analyzing information and providing recommendations to address and resolve business issues, and guiding and consulting with IT management and technical staffs regarding the use of emerging technologies and associated services. The role also involves participating in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation in the financial services industry.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Designing and developing robust Micro Services using Java/Java Enterprise Edition specification, Spring Boot Framework, Maven, REST APIs, MongoDB, and Oracle.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Creating real-time data streaming solutions, handling messaging services, and event-driven communication using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, WebSocket, and Apache Kafka.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Building an application that exposes components as Micro Frontends allowing them to be consumed directly in Web and Mobile platforms thereby achieving seamless integration and modularization of components using Node.js, React, and Angular Frameworks.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Utilizing Agile methodology including CI/CD, application resiliency and security, as well as handling developmental toolsets including GIT/Bitbucket, Splunk, Junit, SonarQube, JIRA, Maven and Veracode.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Developing high-throughput and fault-tolerant stream processing of data streams using Apache and Kafka.
