About The Position

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services or technical support. This role involves providing comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs, evaluating compliance with the organization's technology standards, and ensuring software functionality and currency. The position requires programming well-designed, testable, efficient code, analyzing, designing, and developing tests and test-automation suites, and developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation. Additionally, the role includes actively participating in code reviews, integrating software components into a fully functional software system, applying security and privacy principles, and working with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements. The Senior Vice President will also analyze information and provide recommendations to address business issues, guide IT management and technical staffs on emerging technologies, and participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation in the financial services industry.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Designing and developing robust Micro Services using Java/Java Enterprise Edition specification, Spring Boot Framework, Maven, REST APIs, MongoDB, and Oracle.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Creating real-time data streaming solutions, handling messaging services, and event-driven communication using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, WebSocket, and Apache Kafka.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Building an application that exposes components as Micro Frontends allowing them to be consumed directly in Web and Mobile platforms thereby achieving seamless integration and modularization of components using Node.js, React, and Angular Frameworks.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Utilizing Agile methodology including CI/CD, application resiliency and security, as well as handling developmental toolsets including GIT/Bitbucket, Splunk, Junit, SonarQube, JIRA, Maven and Veracode.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Developing high-throughput and fault-tolerant stream processing of data streams using Apache and Kafka.

Responsibilities
