About The Position

We are currently looking for a Senior Veterinarian to oversee our state-of-the-art facility located in the Boston area. This position will be working with a few Veterinarians at the facility along with several other staff members. This is a great opportunity for someone to grow into the position of Director of Operations and manage all their facilities. The facility will eventually open 7 days a week so being able to grow a great team of Veterinarians would be ideal. The duties will include all aspects of animal care in a Vet hospital. This is a full-time position with bonus incentives such as profit sharing, options, etc.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
State veterinary license in good standing
Experience in small animal medicine, including surgery and dentistry
Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in managing time and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced setting

Nice To Haves

Experience in practice management or leadership roles
Interest in growing into a Director of Operations position
Experience in team building and staff development

Responsibilities

Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
Working with a Regional Operations Manager and the Hospital Manager to achieve high standards and provide superior patient care
Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in well pet
Perform dentals
Contribute to making our workplace enjoyable for all: staff, clients, and pets
Excel in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and thriving in a fast-paced environment
