About The Position

The Vendor Relations Manager is a senior individual contributor role responsible for leading a portfolio of high-impact vendors and owning the performance and growth of a defined product or regional territory within the Achievers Marketplace. This role blends vendor relationship management with strategic thinking, commercial ownership, and cross-functional leadership. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and are accountable for vendor performance, member satisfaction, and financial outcomes such as margin improvement and promotional impact. They collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders, and play a critical role in driving the evolution of the Marketplace.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in vendor management or category management.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and strategic planning.
  • Self-starter; acts with a sense of urgency, proven results and solution-oriented
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with CRMs such as Salesforce an asset
  • Experience with using analytical tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Tableau) an asset.
  • Fluency in Spanish an asset

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vendor & Territory Management:
  • Manage a portfolio of high-impact, complex, or high-revenue vendors.
  • Own a defined product or geographic territory (e.g., North America eGift, Fulfillment, Travel), serving as the subject matter expert and strategic lead.
  • Develop and execute territory-level expansion strategies and vendor growth plans.
  • Lead vendor reviews and performance assessments, focusing on alignment with Achievers’ goals.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Act as a key liaison with internal stakeholders including Product, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), Member Experience, Engineering, Finance, and Legal.
  • Identify and resolve vendor-related friction impacting the member experience, and drive continuous improvements across the redemption journey.
  • Collaborate with the Vendor Onboarding and Sourcing teams to influence vendor pipeline priorities for your region or category.
  • Stakeholder Leadership:
  • Build strong partnerships with CSMs and CS Ops to proactively address gaps in vendor content or member experience.
  • Anticipate escalation risks and implement solutions in advance through strong vendor accountability and performance planning.
  • Team Enablement:
  • Act as a mentor and go-to resource for other team members.
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires, sharing best practices, tools, and documentation.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge management and process improvements.
  • Data-Driven Decisions:
  • Use dashboards, reports, and performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Monitor KPIs such as redemption success rate, delivery SLAs, margin performance, and catalog breadth.
  • Present strategic insights and recommendations to leadership regularly.
