About The Position

Marcon is seeking a Senior VDC Manager to manage and continuously improve our Virtual Design and Construction practices across development and construction projects. This role will be managing the department and team of VDC professionals. Based in our Vancouver office and reporting to the VP, Development, this role will establish consistent VDC standards, strengthen model-based coordination, and help project teams address complex constructability challenges earlier. You will bring advanced BIM and VDC expertise to project-specific execution planning, model coordination, clash detection, construction sequencing, logistics, and digital project delivery. Working closely with Development, Construction, consultants, and trade partners, you will help ensure VDC outputs support informed decisions, cost awareness, coordination, and delivery certainty. You will also evaluate and advance VDC technologies and workflows, mentor VDC professionals and project stakeholders, and build scalable practices that strengthen capability across the organization. THE OPPORTUNITY This is an opportunity to shape how VDC is applied across Marcon’s development and construction work. As a senior technical partner, you will combine deep functional expertise, sound professional judgment, and cross-functional influence to establish standards, resolve complex coordination issues, and improve how digital information supports project outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of BIM or VDC experience in construction, real estate development, architecture, engineering, or a related project delivery environment
  • A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex model coordination, constructability reviews, clash detection, sequencing, and digital project delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of BIM and VDC technologies such as Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or related platforms
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, or improving digital construction tools, workflows, and project standards
  • Experience mentoring VDC professionals or guiding project teams in effective VDC practices
  • Strong understanding of development feasibility, construction sequencing, logistics, coordination complexity, and project delivery risk
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment when using digital and AI-enabled tools
