Senior UX Designer, Mobile

$135,000 - $150,000Remote

About The Position

In healthcare, good design isn't a nice-to-have — it's what determines whether a product gets used at all. Physicians are busy, discerning, and quick to abandon tools that slow them down or create doubt. Building products they return to takes more than clean interfaces. It requires a deep understanding of how clinicians work and what they actually need. As a Senior UX Designer, you'll lead end-to-end design for native mobile experiences across iOS and Android, partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineers to create intuitive, high-quality solutions for healthcare providers. You'll conduct research directly with users, shape product direction through evidence-based design, and help ensure every experience delivers meaningful value. Success in this role is measured by one simple question: did we build something users want to use — and keep using?

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5–7+ years of UX design experience, including designing native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end mobile UX work on complex, task-based products, particularly those involving workflow optimization, information hierarchy, or high-stakes user decision-making.
  • Experience contributing to design systems and partnering closely with engineering teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, and prototyping.
  • Comfortable and have the ability to travel up to 15% for team meetings, client visits, and company off-sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Love solving complex user experience challenges for mobile products.
  • Think in systems and enjoy creating intuitive, scalable experiences.
  • Balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints with confidence.
  • Collaborate naturally with cross-functional teams and communicate design decisions with clarity.
  • Are curious, research-driven, and enjoy validating ideas with real users.
  • Embrace new tools and technologies—including AI—to improve your design process.
  • Sweat the details while keeping the bigger picture in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end mobile product design. Own the complete design process for assigned product areas—from discovery and research through prototyping, validation, implementation, and launch—with a primary focus on native iOS and Android experiences.
  • Design for real-world clinical workflows. Create intuitive information architecture and interaction patterns that support healthcare professionals working under time pressure, making high-stakes decisions, and operating in fast-paced environments where usability is critical.
  • Drive product strategy through design. Identify opportunities where thoughtful user experience design increases product adoption, engagement, and long-term customer value while partnering with Product and Engineering to shape requirements and balance user needs with technical considerations.
  • Strengthen the design system and modern design practices. Contribute to the evolution of mobile design system components and patterns to ensure consistency across platforms. Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate concept exploration, research synthesis, and prototyping where they provide meaningful value.
  • Lead user research and validation. Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including contextual inquiry, workflow observation, usability testing, and field research with healthcare providers. Translate findings into actionable recommendations that inform product direction.
  • Partner across teams to deliver high-quality experiences. Collaborate with Compliance and Security to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements without sacrificing usability. Lead design reviews, communicate design rationale with clarity, and remain engaged through implementation by reviewing builds, resolving edge cases, and advocating for design quality.
  • Mentor and elevate the design team. Share mobile UX expertise with teammates, mentor junior designers, and help cultivate strong design practices across the broader Product organization.
