About The Position

MSIG USA is seeking a Senior Underwriting Analyst to provide support and assistance to underwriting staff. This role involves collecting data, organizing files and reports, and performing administrative and customer service duties to ensure the underwriting process is handled efficiently and accurately. The Senior Underwriting Analyst will input data into Tinubu for portfolio management and to improve underwriting decisions, gather and organize information for new and renewal policy/account files, and maintain account databases. This position also requires providing timely and professional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to broker service requests, and troubleshooting transaction processing issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 7 or more years of insurance experience.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Surety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inputs data into Tinubu for both portfolio management as well as improve underwriting decisions.
  • Gathers and organizes information to prepare new and renewal policy/account files for underwriter review and direction in accordance with company underwriting guidelines and standards.
  • Maintains various account databases outside Tinubu to ensure up to date information and status updates are recorded.
  • Provides timely and professional customer service to internal and external customers including Underwriters; Operations staff; Brokers; to facilitate the processing of business and to ensure excellent customer service to our accounts and prospects.
  • Responds to brokers service requests for invoices, powers of attorney, etc.; ensuring all appropriate documentation is received; troubleshooting for transaction processing issues with Operations Department and researching and assisting in resolving telephone and written inquiries generated from internal and external customers (i.e. policy/account status, rating and billing issues, etc.).
  • Reviews new/renewal submissions for necessary underwriting data and follows up with broker for information.
