Requirements

Holds a bachelor’s degree or any other relevant academic background.
Brings 8+ years of experience in individual life underwriting or in a similar role.
Is recognized for strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to assess medical and non‑medical information to make accurate underwriting decisions.
Stands out for their ability to negotiate, organize, and manage multiple priorities in a high‑volume environment.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset, delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
Has an excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Responsibilities

Analyze complex life, health, and disability cases by applying established underwriting rules.
Negotiate the best possible offer with reinsurers to ensure competitive, client‑centered outcomes.
Examine, assess, and propose solutions for more complex files.
Act as a coach to less experienced underwriters.
Collaborate with IT teams and Business Analysts as an expert in the implementation of a new underwriting automation system.
