Requirements

Holds a bachelor's degree or another relevant academic background.
Has more than 8 years of experience in individual life insurance underwriting or a similar role.
Is recognized for strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in assessing medical and non-medical information to make sound underwriting decisions.
Demonstrates excellent negotiation skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Possesses outstanding communication skills and a client-focused mindset, consistently delivering high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines.
Has excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Analyzing complex life, health, and disability insurance cases by applying established underwriting guidelines.
Negotiating the best possible terms with reinsurers to deliver competitive and client-focused solutions.
Reviewing, assessing, and recommending solutions for the most complex underwriting files.
Acting as a mentor and coach to less experienced underwriters.
Collaborating with IT teams and Business Analysts as a subject matter expert in the implementation of a new automated underwriting system.
