Requirements
- Proven underwriting experience.
- Good knowledge of US Financial Lines business (D&O, EPL, PTL, Cyber, Fidelity).
- Ability to analyze financial statements.
- Strong communication, networking, and relationship building skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Customer and Sales orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.
- An interest in mentoring and training.
Responsibilities
- Underwriting a range of new and renewal business for Financial Institutions.
- Working closely with brokers to communicate risk appetite and value proposition.
- Understanding deal structures, terms, and products that best meet clients’ needs.
- Negotiating pricing, terms & conditions, and deal structure with brokers and clients.
- Generating new business by expanding broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships.
- Collaborating with AIG Distribution, territory managers, and underwriters in other business lines to target desirable accounts and cross-selling opportunities.
- Setting a high standard of customer service to brokers and clients.
- Providing guidance, mentoring, and training to less-experienced underwriters.
- Supporting junior colleagues in building their broker network.
